What confectionary are you most like?

Are you like a Mars Bar? Full of energy.

Are you more like a Twix? Can you see both sides of an argument?

Or are you closest to a Smartie? Quick to point out the faults in others, but unable to see them in yourself.

I have heard it said that the church needs less Smarties and more Refreshers. A Refresher is a tasty, tangy sherbet sweet. It is also someone who looks for every opportunity to speak encouragement into the lives of those around them – heartfelt, refreshing, thoughtful words and actions to build up the individuals they meet in the church and in their daily lives.

This week, as God’s people, let’s aim to be tangy ‘Refreshers’ in our encounters.

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs that it may benefit those who listen”
(Ephesians 4:29)
