The summer is here and I trust that everyone is enjoying the sunshine. Please remember to put on your sun cream!

This past school year has gone really quickly and it has had its ups and downs, but the one constant has been God’s leading and guiding.

We are going through a period of change at Elmwood and a lot has happened in the past 12 months – a new Youth and Children’s Pastor
arriving, our Pastor leaving, and now, the process of finding the person God wants who will lead us forward as His church.

I am really looking forward to what God has in store and I want to encourage everyone to keep praying and trusting in God’s plan for Elmwood.

I want to leave you with a verse that I have been challenged by recently and it is from 1 Timothy 4:12. This verse was given by
the apostle Paul to Timothy when he was young, but I feel that we can all apply it to our own lives.

It says:
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”.

Let us all set an example to those around us. Let us love them like Jesus and show them the heart of our Father in Heaven.

Have a blessed summer.
