Our Evening for Ethiopia will take place on Saturday 15th June at 7pm.
A small team from church is going to work at the Bekoji orphanage and school this summer. The team members are meeting all their own expenses for that visit.
The aim of the Evening for Ethiopia is to raise funds for the children at the orphanage and school, specifically to provide clothes, beds and a one day “holiday” for these children who otherwise wouldn’t have one.
You will be served a three course meal at your tables and, during the course of the evening, there will be a short film showing the work of the charity ‘Stand by Me’ in Bekoji.
There will also be an auction when you will have chance to donate by bidding for items ranging from pots of flowers for the garden to a Chinese banquet or a weekend’s break in Krakow or a week’s holiday in Dorset.
It’s a great opportunity to share an evening at Elmwood with your family and friends. Why not make up a table of eight?
Tickets cost £20 each. This includes your meal and all drinks (non-alcoholic). Buy 6 tickets and one of them will automatically be free.
Tickets are available after church services on Sundays. You can pay by cheque, cash or online.

We look forward to seeing you there!
