Would you like to be baptised on Sunday November 22nd?
Jesus asks those who follow him to be baptised as a public demonstration of what God has already done in their life when they accepted him as Lord – a life now forgiven by and reconnected with God, a life that is empowered by God’s Holy Spirit.
In Baptism we see and hear . . .
- Christians who identify themselves with the death, life and resurrection of Jesus.
- Christians who don’t want to live selfishly, but in a way that pleases God – even if that proves costly.
- Just before he returned to his heavenly Father, Jesus asked his closest friends to, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
If you love and follow Jesus, but have not yet been baptised – please have a chat with one of the church leaders today (you can see their photos on the display near the car park doors in the foyer) and please take one of the helpful ‘Baptism’ booklets available at Reception.
Expressing an interest DOESN’T mean you are obliged to be baptised this autumn. Instead, consider it a great conversation to get started.
