We are going to be looking into God’s Wisdom for us in both the Morning and Evening services. In the Morning from the inspiring book of James which is in the New Testament and in the Evening service from the thought provoking book of Proverbs from the Old Testament. Our Key text for this time as we look into God’s wisdom is: By Wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. Proverbs 24:3-4 The book of Proverbs is a Wisdom book in the Old Testament.

Part 2: Wisdom's Rebuke

Proverbs 1:20-33

Here Solomon writes of wisdom’s rebuke for the fact people don’t listen when she (wisdom) calls and the consequences of not listening to wisdom. He also finishes off with what happens when we listen to wisdom and the blessings that come our way.

What will Wisdom save you from? Some of these things are shown to us in this passage but then Solomon goes on to show a glimpse of what is for those who choose wisdom and keep to the paths of the righteous.

The benefits of wisdom are starting to be opened up and explained by Solomon here at the start of Chapter 3. Here we are encouraged not to forget the teachings of wisdom and also the benefits that come from this.
