Image for Wisdom in the Book of James

We are going to be looking into God’s Wisdom for us in both morning and evening services: in the mornings from the inspiring book of James which is in the New Testament, and in the evening service from the thought provoking book of Proverbs from the Old Testament. Our Key text for this time as we look into Gods wisdom is: “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” Proverbs 24:3-4 The book of James is the Wisdom book of the New Testament. James was the half brother of Jesus Christ. He was also a leader of the church in Jerusalem and the letter was written to those who had been scattered abroad mainly through persecution. Our desire in doing this series is to see the level of Godly wisdom we know increase greatly and for us to apply it into our day-to-day lives, enabling us to be people of wise choices and decisions in Him.
