Image for The Gift

In the middle of the poorly understood book of Hebrews lies a long list of faith-filled biblical luminaries - Abraham, Moses, Joseph and many more. The writer concludes this section of his letter unexpectedly by saying that while these "were all commended for their faith,...none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect". What has been promised was The Gift - Jesus and extraordinarily the writer includes you and I in the completion of God's plan. 'The Gift' examines these 'heroes' demonstrated faith (plus their legion of imperfections) and encourages us on the same journey of faith.
